December Recap

December was a crazy month, so here is a brief recap:

Corbin tried Hot Chocolate for the first time.

Just chilling with his dad.

Trying to move was an interesting task.  Every time we took something out to package it up, Corbin would want to play with it, like the bumbo shown here.  Jeremy says I like to load as much as possible at times:  Moving during his finals week, all just before Christmas.

We spent a lot of time with family in December.  We had a Huntsman Family Christmas Party and a Utah Pratt Family Christmas party.  I brought my camera to the Pratt party, but forgot to take it out.

Merry Christmas

This Christmas was a little different than Christmases before with us staying at my parents' house until we find another house.  We got up and opened up presents before my brothers and sister and their families came over for Christmas Morning and breakfast.

As you can tell, Corbin was so excited to open presents.

Jeremy was quite happy to get a new putter for Christmas...  He says he will need to try it out a lot this year.

Corbin's favorite gift had to have been his Jeep.  Once he opened it, he didn't want anything else other than to drive it.  It was quite cold outside, but Jeremy took him outside and let him drive it up and down the street.

We are very grateful to my parents for letting us stay with them until we find another house.  I think Corbin is going to go through withdrawals from Grandma and Grandpa when we do move out.

All of my mom's family comes over every Christmas evening for dinner.  It was so nice to get to catch up with all the family.  We had to sneak in a family picture before everyone got there.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was pretty relaxing.  It is nice to not have to go to multiple families.  After getting dinner, we let Corbin open some PJs.  He loved them because they had Santa on them.

After dinner, all of the family came over to hear Grandpa Larry read a Christmas story.  Then all of the grandkids opened up some PJs from Grandma and Grandpa.
Brandon surprised us all with this look for Christmas Eve. He had been sporting the beard earlier on in the week.  Jeremy kept calling him Magnum PI.

It was great to have a relaxing Christmas Eve with family.  It allows us to calm down and really enjoy the season and remember the real reason for Christmas.

Graduation

This month Jeremy became a college graduate!!

I am so so proud of him.  It has been a long road.
There have been a lot of late nights.  He's had late nights at school after a full day of work.  I know he would die if he knew I posted this,  I am just so proud of him.  I know he thinks there is nothing to be proud of because he says it took way to long.

We are both so happy that this day has come.

Santa

We had been hearing "Santa ... Ho Ho Ho"  all season from Corbin and decided we should take him to the mall and let him see Santa.

Jeremy said he would walk Corbin up to Santa and let him sit on his lap.  Corbin was fine until he was placed on Santa's lap...  Then he lost it.  As you can see, Jeremy ended up sitting on the arm of Santa's Chair and Corbin sat on Jeremy's lap.  There wasn't going to be any smiling from Corbin, so this is the best I could get.  Maybe next year...

Thanksgiving

This year was a pretty relaxing Thanksgiving.  We hung out at the house until 4:00 and traveled the two blocks to my parent's house.  My mother never disappoints when it comes to Thanksgiving dinner.  There is nothing better than my mom's homemade stuffing.  I love the holidays because you get to see family you haven't seen in a while, and it makes you grateful for the things that you have.

I know I'm biased, but I don't think they get much cuter than this...

Then there was Black Friday...  We braved the cold at Toys R Us at midnight and got some great deals.  We then went shopping some more on Friday and got some more deals...

Disneyland

We couldn't go California and not visit Disneyland...

Disney in October is great.  They had the whole place decorated for Halloween.  They also had the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain changed up with a Halloween-like theme.  It was great!

It took Corbin a little while to get used to the characters, but he warmed up to them by the time that we got to Winnie the Pooh and Tigger.

It didn't take long for Corbin to be excited about every ride he could see.  Anytime he was placed in the stroller to go to another area, he would yell out "ride... ride"...  This is definitely something he got from his mom.  Maybe it was the original trip he took to Disney World when I was first pregnant with him.

It wouldn't have been the same trip without all of the attention from two of Corbin's favorite people  He absolutely loves anything to do with "Papa" and "Gamau."

I was really impressed with how well behaved Corbin was after days in the car, no naps, different rooms and a time change.  He did great!

Corbin's Favorite Ride

You would think that after riding the quarter rides at the mall, the bus at the San Diego Zoo, California Adventure, and Disneyland, Corbin would be tired of rides...

When checking into the hotel, Jeremy put Corbin on the luggage cart.  Anytime he saw the luggage cart after that, he was on it.  If I had only known that we didn't need to go to amusement parks for Corbin's favorite ride...

Disney California

There was one day on our vacation where it rained, which prevented us from taking a lot of pictures.  That was that day we went to California Adventures.

Waiting for the Bug's Life Show

Corbin looks like he is about to throw up, but he really enjoyed this ride.

Poncho Boy on the Merry-Go-Round...

He went on this ride a few times...  It was covered from the rain.

Corbin was so good.  He wanted to go on every ride that he could see.  He must get that from his mom...

Santa Monica

When we went up to the L.A. area from San Diego, we decided to take some time and visit the ocean with Corbin.  What better way than to go to the Santa Monica Pier.

Corbin didn't want to take the picture.  He was more interested in the little tiger sharks we could see from the pier.

At the end of the pier, there was a man singing and playing his guitar.  Corbin walked right up to him and started dancing in front of him.  I only wish I had captured it on video.  I'll have to see if my dad did.

Corbin loved the sand, showing it off in this picture.

 My boys at the ocean...

Playing in the water... It was a little cold.

Corbin was amazed that the sand stuck to his feet.  I thought this was so cute...

San Diego Zoo

We took advantage of San Diego and spent a day at the zoo.  Corbin loves animals, so it was a great day for him.  This was a first for all of us...  The San Diego Zoo is so large, they have buses that can take you from one part to another.

 Corbin's Favorite Animals
(How he says it)

                                     "Beer" (Bear)                                           "Yiyan" (Lion)

He was more interested in the images than the photo opportunity.

I think one of Corbin's favorite things about the trip was being the center of attention of all of the adults.

It was fun to be able to spend the day at the zoo and watch Corbin's excitement at all the animals.
