Kylee and Sage Visit

While in Utah, Kylee decided to fly back with us.  That was great for me.  Corbin wanted to sit next to Sage the entire flight.  When we got off the airplane, Corbin asked Jeremy why he didn't go.  He then said, "Dad, did you not go because you are allergic to airplanes?"
He says some of the funniest things.
Sage kept wanting to hold Hudson, even though he is almost as big as she is.  I had to get a picture.
We got to take the kids to the "Splash Pad" down the street.
Corbin wanted to show Sage Jumping Jungle, so we had to go there.

The last weekend they were here, Zack came up.  We had to go do the paddle boats.

And we had to go to the zoo before they left.
We sure love it when we get to spend time with Kylee, Sage, and Zack. We wish we lived closer, but we will take whatever time we can with them.  Corbin loved having Sage to play with everyday, and I think I've put it in his head enough, that he thinks he will marry Sage when he grows up.

First day of Preschool

Corbin started his first day of preschool on August 17.
He goes three days a week for three hours and loves it.
Corbin is such a social child, I never really had to worry about him getting along at preschool or missing us too much.  He just couldn't wait to go.
Here he is with his teacher Miss Shelly.
(I know this is bragging, but it is something I want to remember for later on)
We were suggested this preschool by a neighbor, and a few weeks after school had started, Miss Shelly told our neighbor that she can recommend any kids she wants as long as they are like Corbin.

Family Time

Hudson and Corbin both loved all of the attention they got while in Utah.  Hudson loves to be held.  It also only took him a little while to warm up to the family this time.
Corbin love having Grandpa and Grandma to himself.

Dinasour

Another fun thing that we got to do while in Utah, was to go to the Dinosaur Museum with Kylee and Sage.
As Corbin says, the bones were "giant-normous."
Corbin is always attracted to water, and he spent a lot of the time at this sand-water area.
A sign that he is concentrating is that is tongue sticks out.
We had such a good time with Kylee and Sage and can't wait to get together with them again.

First Hair Cut

While we were in Utah, I decided it was time for Hudson to get his first haircut.  I had to take advantage of the situation and have Natalie cut it for me.

Here he is before.
Alex held him while Natalie cut and I took pictures.

Things started out well enough.  I kept supplying treats to appease him.  Once Natalie turned on the clippers, things went down hill...
Here he is after the haircut.  So handsome, yet so sad...

First Plane Flight

The boys and I were able to fly to Utah for a week to visit family and go to my cousins wedding.  This was Hudson first time on an airplane.  He did so great.
(Notice the bruise in the center of Corbin's forehead.  He got this fun running away from his aunt and running right into the pole on the mail box.)
I was lucky because the plane was not full.  So I was able to bring his car seat on, so he could have his own seat.  He slept the whole way there.    I was a little nervous flying alone with both the boys.  Both of the boys did great.   The only problem is now when we go to Utah Corbin thinks we should always fly and not drive.

Swimming Lessons

Corbin took some outdoor swimming lessons this year and did so great!  He loved his swimming lessons
It didn't take long at all for him to be okay with putting his face in the water and swimming along.

Corbin and the other boys were always asking their teacher if they could jump off the diving board into the pool.
Corbin did so well that by the end of the summer, he could go swimming with us without a life jacket at all.  He still talks about going to "Miss Nicole's" and wants to go again next year.
