Pictures

We recently had some pictures taken of Corbin for being 1 year old. They were actually taken at 14 months... I'm a little behind in posting them... This post is a little lengthy, but it was hard to only pick a few from the many cute pictures we got.

A few great things about summer

Corbin loves the water. We have to be careful because he has no fear of it either. He will run to water whenever he sees it. This summer we got him a little pool for the yard and he loves it.

Who would have thought that I'd have such a blond boy?

This is the first time that Corbin has had popsicles too. I'm a little paranoid about the mess, so we strip him down first...
It has been an exciting summer so far with Corbin. He loves the outdoors and is quickly becoming a tan little boy. I think it annoys Jeremy that Corbin and I tan, and he just burns:)

Look at ME....

Corbin came across the wiffle-golf balls that Jeremy had and was playing with one. I turned around for a minute, looked back and this is what I saw...

What a goof!?!

Independence Day

We love to celebrate holidays with family. This July 4, we spent the entire day with family. First, we went to the Farmer's Market in Salt Lake with my parents and Natalie and Greg's family. There was a lot of fresh local produce and food that Jeremy wanted to try.

In the afternoon, we had a BBQ at Natalie's. The kids loved playing together.

That night, we went to watch the PG fireworks. We set out a blanket and watched the show. Corbin loved the fireworks. He sat so still and kept pointing at the fireworks.

Thanksgiving Point Farm

We were lucky enough to have a long weekend around the 4th of July, so we decided to take Corbin to the Farm at Thanksgiving Point.

Can't you just see the excitement on Corbin's face to be riding the horse around in circles?

At one point, he and Jeremy were misbehaving, so I had them locked up...

We were not allowed to have Corbin sit on any of the real animals other than the horse ride, so we decided to have him sit on a fake sheep...

The last of Oregon

While in Oregon, we were able to visit with Grandma Pratt. We feel that Corbin is so lucky to be able to know his Great Grandma Pratt and Great Grandpa Birrell(on my side).

We went to Oregon so Jeremy could go to his 10 year reunion. As you can see, Jeremy got a lot of sun between golfing and spending the after noon with people from his graduating class.

Jeremy and I really enjoyed spending a few days with the friends that he grew up with. We also had a great time, although there wasn't much, with the family in Oregon. It seems like there is never enough time when on vacation.

Eastern Oregon Continued..

While in Oregon for Jeremy's reunion, we had a little time to spend with family. One afternoon included activities at Grandma and Grandpa Pratt's house. Everyone there got together to have a BBQ. Corbin loved playing in the sandbox with Stryker.

All of the kids roasted hot dogs and marshmallows to make smores. Jeremy shared his with Corbin. I think Corbin has a new favorite treat...

One of the highlights of the day was when Uncle Dean came over with his horses and wagon and took the group for a ride. Corbin loved watching the horses. He kept trying to grab the reins from Uncle Dean so he could drive.

Sprinkler fun

While in Oregon, we took an afternoon to let the kids play in the sprinklers.

It started out with just Corbin and Ashton playing, but they weren't getting in the water much so Jeremy decided to get in with them. McKenna and Hannah got in on the fun too...
Maybe not quite so much fun for Hannah...

At one point, Jeremy got a lawn chair out and sat there on top of the sprinkler. Corbin seemed to enjoy it...

Ashton and Corbin had a great time together on the trip. It seemed like they were always together. In fact, when Corbin would go to bed, Ashton would ask what happened to "that boy," or "my cousin."

While everyone was drying off, Hannah brought out one of their chickens for Corbin to pet.

Sorry about the posts from the trip being split up so much. I'm doing this in preparation for my scrapbooking, and I'm using this to group how I will group the scrapbook pages.

First Plane Ride

Last week we flew to Oregon to visit with family and to go to Jeremy's 10 year reunion. It was a short trip, so we decided to fly instead of drive. Since this was Corbin's first plane ride, I thought I should document it.

Corbin was so excited to see the airplanes. I tried to get him to turn around so I could get a picture of his face, but he wouldn't stop looking at the plane. This is as good as it gets.

Here's a picture of Jeremy and Corbin just before we got on the plane.

I have to say that Corbin was great on the plane. Going to Oregon, Corbin got a little restless and wanted to get down and visit all of the other people on the plane. Luckily, Jeremy had some Baby Einstein on his computer that we could show him.

On the ride back, Corbin was even better. He just chilled there and read books on Jeremy's lap. Even though the flight took a little longer, he was great. All of the grandmas behind us wanted to take him home with them.
