Snow Man

We got one last good snow fall a few weeks ago, and Corbin has been dying to build a snow man.  So his dad took him out and they built this one together.  He just loves playing in the snow and is always wanting to make snow balls.  Sadly, the snow man died with in 2 days and Corbin was pretty sad.

Sick Boy...

A few weeks ago we noticed that Corbin was running a small fever.  Jeremy decided to take the next day off to be with Corbin since all of the kids at my work were also sick.  The next day, Jeremy noticed that Corbin was breathing so shallow.  He took him to the doctor to get checked out.  Last year Corbin got sick and was diagnosed as having asthmatic tendencies, so we've kept an eye out for this.  Sure enough, he was diagnosed with pneumonia and those darn asthmatic tendencies.  Part of his treatment was to have breathing treatments.  He didn't like them at all...

We had to make sure that he got a treat after the treatments.  He loves popsicles.  It was about the only thing he would eat for a few days.

The treatments and the antibiotics did wonders for him.  It was crazy to see how much better he could breath after the treatments.  We've got to keep our eyes open and be ready for it again next year.

I knew that something was up when I came across this.  Corbin hasn't fallen asleep on his dad since he was about six months old.  I did like the fact that he was cuddly though...

February catch up

Time to catch up on another month gone by:

We had a nice Valentine's Day. We had some family babysit Corbin and we had a nice evening alone.

On President's Day, we took advantage of Jeremy's day off to take Corbin to Cabelas.  He loved all of the fish and the animals.  I was surprised that we were able to get Jeremy out of the store without a single purchase.

Some of the animals had Corbin a little nervous...

Corbin had been asking for a pillow for so long and was often found cuddling up against his bumper pad in the place of a pillow.  Jeremy and I decided that it would be okay to give him a pillow and he has loved it.  I was amazed that such a crazy moving sleeper would stay in place with just a little pillow.  I had to be a mean mom and get a picture of him with his pillow.

January in Review

January has not been an overly exciting month other than the regular winter bugs.  Corbin has loved living with Grandma and Grandpa Huntsman.  Every morning he wakes up and calls out for them over us...

One day we decided to take him to Build A Bear to spoil him just a little more.  We let him decide what animal to build, and he chose a monkey.  He loves his monkey and asks for the monkey every night when going to bed.  We have to nightly remove the monkey from his bed so that he won't set it off to make the monkey sounds and wake him up.

Broken

Corbin has been so easy to deal with.  The only thing that we have had a problem with is his binki.  I wouldn't call it a problem.  He would only have it in his bed or in his carseat on long trips.  The problem occurred that Corbin learned to climb into his bed specifically so he could have his binki.  Two week ago, I had enough and decided to cut up the binki in front of him.  All other binkis were placed out of sight.  He realized that the binki was no longer any good and went about his way.  Since then, he's had only one melt-down about the binki.  He has asked for the binki, but now says "binki broken."  I think we held onto the binki more for me than for him, but we are luckily now to be past that phase.

At the same time, Corbin has learned to climb out of his crib along with learning to climb in.  He will randomly run up to his crib and climb in just to play and show off.  The funny thing is, he will wake up from a nap or from the night's sleep and wait for us to come get him out.  Jeremy and I will walk into the room and tell him to climb out, but he won't get out unless told to do so.

The other day while working, the babysitter came down and asked about when to put Corbin down for a nap.  While asking, Corbin decided for himself.  He ran up to the Pack N Play and climbed in and wouldn't come out.  A few minutes later, he was fast asleep.

Happy New Year !! 2010

To celebrate New Years, we went to my parents' house in St. George.  Here is a little recap of what went on while there:

Jeremy and the boys went into the desert to shoot guns.  It got Jeremy into the gun thing to the point that he bought himself a gun while in St. George.  At least we'll be safe... maybe...

Another day, we took Corbin to see some petroglyphs that are a short drive from my parents' house.

What a cute boy...

Corbin and Ryder loved cuddling up with Grandpa Larry.  There was a little jealousy if one was cuddling and the other wasn't.

New Years Eve Night, the girls decided to braid their hair for the next day.

Corbin and Ryder had a great time together.  There was really no fighting at all.  I'm excited to see how they grow up together.

While in St. George, Jeremy and I celebrated our seventh anniversary.  It is amazing how fast time flies...

December Recap

December was a crazy month, so here is a brief recap:

Corbin tried Hot Chocolate for the first time.

Just chilling with his dad.

Trying to move was an interesting task.  Every time we took something out to package it up, Corbin would want to play with it, like the bumbo shown here.  Jeremy says I like to load as much as possible at times:  Moving during his finals week, all just before Christmas.

We spent a lot of time with family in December.  We had a Huntsman Family Christmas Party and a Utah Pratt Family Christmas party.  I brought my camera to the Pratt party, but forgot to take it out.
